Hello, I'm Doris. I live in Wuhan, I speak English and Mandarin, and I spend most of my days inside Chinese hospitals with patients from abroad.
China's big public hospitals are remarkable: modern equipment, very experienced specialists, and prices that surprise everyone I meet. But for a visitor they're hard work. Registration runs on Chinese apps, payments need local accounts, and the doctor has a few minutes and no English.
That's what I do. I find the right hospital, get you a written price, meet you when you land and sit with you in every appointment until you understand everything. I don't give medical advice, and I don't take money from hospitals. If a trip to China isn't worth it for you, I'll tell you.
